We are pleased to present two exciting workshops! The first one
scheduled for November 18th, 2005 is titled "Alone in the Mainstream"
which is the title of a book authored by Gina Oliva. In the book, she
shares her experiences of growing up deaf in a totally 'mainstreamed'
environment. The second workshop titled "Deaf Town?" will be presented
by Marvin T. Miller, COO of The Laurent Company. The Laurent Company
is developing a town called Laurent in South Dakota which will use

One other new event involves an informal Book Hour every third Saturday
starting at 10:00. It's hosted by Jenny Ronco at the Borders bookstore.
