Beyond Hearing Listserv (bhList).
Moderated discussion list on topics related to hearing loss including technology, accessibility, communication barriers, research, cochlear implants, etc.

Yahoo E-Group. Free daily news reports from around the world with an emphasis on deafness and cochlear implants. Open membership. Discussion not moderated. Archives accessible to members only.

HOH-LD News.
Yahoo E-Group. Free weekly news magazine providing news and information for people who are hard of hearing or late-deafened. Its stated purpose is to increase awareness of issues and concerns within the HOH/LD communities. Open membership. Only the moderator may post. Archives open to the public.

SayWhatClub
operates several general interest and special topic email discussion lists for adults with an interest in hearing loss. For information on joining one of these lists, email the SWC Hospitality Committee. SWC also publishes SWC Online Voices, an excellent monthly online newsletter. Newsletter archives are open to the public.

Although not directly related to hearing loss, computer safety is an important issue for those of us who rely, perhaps more heavily than most, on email, instant messaging, Internet relay, and similar computer-based methods of reliably sending and receiving information in text form.
