Project Home is an assisted living program administered in part through the Baltimore City Department of Social Services to develop, certify and monitor small scale assisted living arrangements that provide disabled adults privacy and a homelike atmosphere. In recognizing that people with AIDS experience complex problems, support services have been designed to encompass housing, income maintenance, social services, medical services and case management services. Case managers are responsible for developing a plan to meet the needs of the client with input from the client for ensuring a continuum of services based on the demands of the illness.

Specific services provided:

  • Project HOME/AIDS Supportive Housing
  • Emergency Financial Assistance (e.g., for housing, evictions/mortgage, utilities)
  • In Home Aide Services for clients living in their own homes when funds are available

Eligibility Requirements:
Any person diagnosed as HIV+/AIDS and having 2 or more disabling HIV-related symptoms or opportunistic infections.
