Family Service Foundation operates outpatient mental health centers in Baltimore City, Frederick, and Prince George's County. The Centers offer a full range of psychiatric and counseling services on an individual or family basis, to people of all ages who are acutely or chronically ill, physically handicapped or chemically dependent. The Centers give special assistance to individuals and families who are experiencing difficult situations such as relationship issues, behavior problems, emotional stress and depression. A team comprised of Psychiatrists, Social Workers and Counselors provide services in a confidential, supportive environment. The Mental Health Centers serve the overall community but specialize in providing services to those who are deaf and hard of hearing. Staff who serve deaf clients are fluent in American Sign Language and trained in the psychosocial aspects of deafness.
